UFC Champion Matt Hughes Receives Bad Boy MTV

Bad Boy Inc. and Mullins Race Enghines presented Matt Hughes with a 2009 Bad Boy MTV at the Montgomery County Fair this past weekend.  Building on the popularity of the Hillsboro native and one of the nation's best-known Ultimate Fighting Chamionship competitors, the fair hosted a mixed martial arts "Extreme Challenge" event as part of this year's entertainment line-up.  MMA combines elements of wrestling, karate and boxing.  The Montgomery County Fair is the first in the state of Illinois to put a fight night on its schedule of events.

Matt Hughes is a nine time UFC welterweight champion. Growing up less than five miles away from the fairgrounds in Hillsboro, he is one of the county's favorite sons.  The fans and community all came out to the event to show their support for their hometown hero.  Matt along with his expecting wife and two children reside there in Hillsboro.

Hughes has been very successful with his career in the UFC. His is a proven winner with a record of 44-7-0. Matt is also very active in his community.  Not only does Matt volunteer his time with local young people in his community, he is a travels to Mexico as a missionary to lend his help and support. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. Recently he was awarded the Distinguished Young Alumni Achievement Award from Lincoln College.  With all these great qualities, Matt Hughes is a perfect fit for our Bad Boy Organization.

We welcome Matt Hughes to our Bad Boy Family and wish him continued success in the future.
