The New MTV is Finally Here!

Bad Boy Mowers introduces the all-electric Multi-Terrain Vehicle to our 2009 product lineup. This revolutionary new vehicle features a powerful high-torque, electric traction motor with push button, on-the-fly 4WD. Bad Boy MTV's Smart Charge® System automatically charges the vehicle as needed by plugging it into any standard 110v outlet and forget it. It's heavy-duty construction and rock-climbing clearance allow this vehicle to quietly and economically travel virtually anywhere. All of our MTV models feature a 600 lb. capacity bed, automatic hydraulic dump and 25", 6 ply go-anywhere tires.  The exciting new Bad Boy product goes into live production Monday, February 2, 2009 at our new facility in Melbourne, AR.  

The Melbourne facility is loaded with state-of-the-art equipment necessary to produce the Bad Boy MTVs. "We are utilizing leading edge technology to produce our MTV's. For example, our laser cutters will load and unload themselves from 5 different locations. They are capable of holding 8,800 pounds of steel tubing and will actually go and get what they need,” stated Robert Foster, Owner. 

Bad Boy is proud to have state-of-the-art robot welders on line in the MTV frame production process. These automated welders allow the MTV frames to be  welded in the most efficient way possible. "While an employee is loading one side of the welder, the robot is welding on the other side," said Robert Foster.  

The Bad Boy MTV production line also employs the use of a high-tech C & C bender outfitted with an electronic eye that locates a reference point from the laser and will then bend the metal at that reference point. Our powder coat paint booth is installed, up and running. With close to 400 feet of track it includes a new steam cleaner which cleans the steel in preparation for the powder coat system. Powder coating our products allows for more durability and a beautiful paint finish that is both chip and rust-resistant. 

The MTV will be produced immediately on a single production line, but Bad Boy MTV is poised to bring more lines on as the need grows. The Bad Boy gas powered MTV is scheduled to be introduced in the very near future as well.

In the next 6 months Bad Boy MTV hopes to be in full production of the electric MTV line.  “It has been our goal, since we launched the first MTV in February 2009, to have four MTV models available by February 2010,” Robert Foster said.  Our current Bad Boy Mower dealers will be the first to have the opportunity to sell this exciting new Bad Boy product.
