Bad Boy Mowers would like to invite everyone to the Kevin Wade Johnson Foundation kickoff event which will be at Belview Baptist Churchin Melbourne, AR, on Saturday, January 15, from 3:00-5:00 PM. The kickoff event will help the churches and communities in our area know the purpose and intent of the KWJ Foundation. Herb Wilson, the evangelist for the foundation, will be speaking, and there will also be a special message from Jay Munoz. After the main event BBQ will be served in Belview's Family Life Center. It's a free event and we would love for all of you to attend! A little more about the foundation and it’s beliefs below.
Established in memory of Kevin Johnson, a double heart transplant recipient and faithful servant of Christ, The Kevin Wade Johnson Foundation’s mission is to spread the saving gospel of our Lord Jesus and glorify His name through evangelism, Christian missions, and organ donation awareness. The Kevin Johnson Foundation supports the teaching of Biblical truth and encourages others to “walk in a manner worthy of the calling” in order that they may finish their lives well.

Kevin's Story:
Kevin Johnson, a lifelong athlete with no health issues, developed severe heart failure due to unknown causes in October of 2005. He received his first heart transplant in June of 2006, but a few months later his new heart began to fail. Perplexed doctors could still not find the cause for his heart failure, and Kevin was again placed on the transplant list. He received his second heart transplant in February 2007. After his third heart started to fail later that year, Kevin was finally diagnosed with a very rare blood disease. He underwent two separate autologous stem cell transplants in July 2007 and September 2009. His heart had recovered full function in December 2009 when Kevin developed a rare condition known as TTP. Kevin left his earthly home to be with our Lord on January 13, 2010. Throughout the four and a half years of his sickness, Kevin proclaimed Christ’s grace and mercy to those around him, whether he was sharing with a nurse while in ICU, or giving his testimony behind a church pulpit. Kevin never failed to mention how we must finish our lives well. We believe he did just that.

The Timothy Project:
The Kevin Wade Johnson Foundation works in the Dominican Republic through the ministry, The Timothy Project, headed by Jay Munoz. The Timothy Project plants churches in sugar cane villages in the southeast part of the Dominican Republic. In planting these churches, Jay raises up pastors out of these churches and disciples young people on Saturdays at his library. Jay also works in local schools and orphanages in the Dominican, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
