In the town of B enton Arkansas, there’s a man that goes by the name of Quenton Burge. Don’t let anyone accuse him of being old either. At the ripe age of 91, Mr Burge still maintains everything he could at the age of 20, and he’ll certainly let you know that too. When I spoke with Mr. Burge, he kept referring to himself as “41” and finally caught what he was saying and said… “Wait, I’m 91. (with a chuckle), but I feel like I’m still 41”. That statement alone sums up the attitude of a different time and day that makes this country strong.
Most people are looking at years of retirement behind them at 91, but not Quenton Burge. He is the Director of the Physical Plant for years and has been the head grounds keeper at Pulaski Technical College for 45 years, where he was awarded the award of Service Excellence. This award has now gone on to take on the name of the “The Quenton Burge Service Excellence Award”. He’s still doing his thing even today. As a matter of fact, it was a recent situation that brought me to know of Mr. Quenton Burge.
Mr Burge recently was needing new equipment to help maintain the grounds at work, so he was called in to help test out about 10 different models of mowers on the market. He told me that it didn’t take him long to make his choice, after giving the product a good testing. Mr. Burge wouldn’t release the brand names, being a man of respect, and I sure didn’t try to dig it out of him… but he did let me know that Bad Boy Mowers was an easy choice for him. He was very specific in the points of what he loved most about our mowers. He clearly told me that it was due to great manufacturing, the beautiful job it did, the mower’s speed and durability, and simply that “it was the best mower he had ever used in his life.” And what a life Mr. Burge has lived…
Quenton Burge was born and raised on a farm. What makes him a little different from most people during his time is that he lost his father at the young age of 13. He let me know that then you didn’t have farm help or anything to help take care of your family. He had to stand up at 13 and quickly become the man of his house. He farmed the way he had always been shown. He spent a lot of his life at the helm of heavy equipment. He has been on everything from farm tractors to military tanks. Yes sir, I said military tanks. He is no stranger to well built machines, and he kept letting me know that. He told me, toward the end of our visit, that his life experience with machinery was one of the things that qualified him to recognize Bad Boy Mowers as what he would need to keep up in his job. He actually stated, word for word… “I ain’t no expert at anything, but my whole life of working experiences was all it took to tell me that the Bad Boy Mower was the best I’d ever seen.”
How can you argue with that? I’ll tell you… you don’t. We were all taught to respect our elders, and I believe Mr Burge is the epitome of that statement’s core. We here at Bad Boy Mowers certainly respect and appreciate Mr Burge.

My son just purchased the mz 27 hp 48 deck this weekend and I had to try it out . Wow what a machine . I have had experience with zero turning before ,with sales with the grasshopper mower ,this bad boy is quite a machine . This machine is something for the money . He has just purchased a 10 acre farm and we will use for cutting the borders . I cant wait until we can move up to a diesel 60 inch deck. I was surprised that this model did not come with a hour meter . Maybe one can be purchased. |

Sounds as though Mr. Burge has had a well-lived life. You speak of him with a reverence that comes from true respect.
Well said comments. I have no experience with Bad Boy products but you don't receive the praise I note without doing something very, very well. I'd expect a quality product.
