Bad Boy Mowers

One Big Happy Family.

This story starts about 6 years ago.  It’s a true story about one of Bad Boy’s own, Jason Harmon, and his journey to becoming a part of the Bad Boy family.  He was very stable in a job with a successful company in Memphis, while his wife was a teacher in the local high school.  They were starting to understand that their little family was in need of another member.  Everyone takes this jump for granted, and Jason and his wife were no different.  The easy trip towards parenthood turned out to not be such a breezy road.  They thought, as do most couples, that they would hit that time in their lives and just start having babies.  Well, that wasn’t the case.  Many doctors, bills, specialists, and years later… they still were a two-person family.  They had gone through everything imaginable to conceive a child of their own, and after the passing of over four years, they had reached their end of the road.

Libby, Jason’s wife, one day decided it was time for a break and to get back to the simple things that drew them to each other from the start.  “A Cruise”, she shouted!  They had both been under a lot of stress and about as frustrated as a person can get.  A vacation was exactly what they needed to get their heads back on straight and clear their thoughts… just some time together.

They left for a weeklong cruise through the gorgeous Caribbean, helping them focus on each other again.  The vacation was incredible and really did its job.  The funny thing is, once theyarrived back home to unpack their bags, a phone call shook their lives in a crazy direction.  It was a surprise call from someone that heard they were having troubles starting their own family, and they had a rare opportunity for the Harmons to become adoptive parents.  It was almost like the vacation wasn’t just a getaway but was actually a soul washing to help the Harmons welcome a huge opportunity.

Of course, they were excited and jumped all over the opportunity.  They now had literally 3 weeks to prepare a room for the baby, hire a lawyer to oversee the process, and be approved by the mother and adoption agency.  Needless to say, the process came and went, and the Harmons were now a whole family.

Moving back to the business side of things, Jason had researched Bad Boy for some time.  Although established where he was, he had wondered what it would be like to join a company like Bad Boy and move his family back home.  Memphis wasn’t the place the Harmons wanted to raise their daughter, so Jason leaned even harder towards Bad Boy to see if they could use him in their incredible marketing department.  He made several calls and earned an interview, which finally seemed to pay off for him.  He was given a chance to see if he had what it took to be a fiery piece of the well known, very energetic Mower/MTV Company.  Very quickly he learned that Bad Boy was not just another employer.  They opened their doors to him and also made it known that Bad Boy wasn’t just another employer, it was a family.  It was a blessing to Jason on finally getting to be a part of such a great company, but there was still the case of finding a job for his wife.  Everyone at Bad Boy was very helpful in her search to find a position within the local school districts.  It wasn’t long before the Harmons were set.  Libby landed the job she wanted with the city’s most local school, and was finally feeling the relief of the move easing off her shoulders.  Everything seemed to be falling in place.  The change in atmosphere was incredibly different and more than what the Harmons expected.

Now Jason and his family have become a part of the everyday scene amongst the town of Batesville.  They have definitely soaked in the culture and learned to appreciate the natural settings around them.  They are experiencing a smoother way of life and a much better environment to watch their daughter grow up in.  There’s just no comparison when trading in a no yard city life for a large yard country living.  They say “home is where the heart is”, but that can actually be viewed in many different ways.  When you get to work for a company like Bad Boy Mowers, you actually feel like you are leaving one home and going to another at the end of the day.  Home truly is where the heart is.
