MLB Players Visit Bad Boy

Bad Boy Mowers hosted several Major League Baseball players and agents at the end of October.

Ian Kinsler is a 2008 Major League Baseball All-Star 2^nd baseman and the current 2^nd baseman for the Texas Rangers.  Ian was drafted in the 17^th round in 2003 as shortstop.  He is known for his good speed, good agility, and 5-tool player.  In 2008 Ian was 4^th in batting average in the American League with .319.

Mark Lowe is a current Major League relief pitcher for the Seattle Mariners.  His Major League debut was on July 7, 2006 against the Detroit Tigers.  Mark bats left-handed and throws right-handed.  His fastball has been clocked as high as 101 mph.

Jackson Williams was a 2007 1^st round draft pick catcher for the San Francisco Giants.  He is considered “the future” behind the plate.  It has been said that defense will be the name of the Giants’ game if Jackson takes over next season.

Drew Miller is the San Diego Padres #3 Minor League pitching prospect.  Top 10 Prospects are based on projections of a player’s long-term worth after discussions with scouting and player-development personnel.  All players who haven’t exceeded the Major League rookie standards of 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched are eligible.

Jeff Frye is a certified MLB Player Rep.  He is a former Major League 2^nd baseman with the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, and Toronto Blue Jays.   Jeff was drafted in the 30^th round of the 1988 amateur draft and debuted with the Texas Rangers on July 9, 1992 over the Cleveland Indians.  His final big league appearance was on September 20, 2001, with a career batting average of .290. 

Jay Franklin is a certified MLB Player Rep.  He is a former Major League pitcher with the Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Chinese Professional Baseball League.  Jay was a 7^th round draft pick in 1989 by the Texas Rangers.  His MLB pitching career was from 1989 until 1998.  Jay and Jeff are partners in Franklin Frye & McCann (www.fnfsport.com).
