Mike Wallace and the "Talladega Triple"

October 4, 2006 (Kannapolis NC) - Motorsports Lounge has confirmed with Mike Wallace that he will be attempting the "Talladega Triple" this weekend, competing in three different series races at the 2.66-mile tri-oval Talladega Speedway.

Known as a restrictor plate and superspeedway specialist, Wallace will first take the reigns of the #09 Miccosukee Indian Gaming & Resort Dodge for James Finch in the "Food World 250" ARCA RE/MAX Series event on Friday, October 6th. Saturday, Mike switches gears to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, where he will drive the #15 GEICO / Bad Boy Motors Chevrolet for Billy Ballew Motorsports in the "John Deere 250". Capping off the triple will be Sunday's "UAW-Ford 500" NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race, where he will drive the #09 Miccosukee Gaming & Resorts Dodge for James Finch.

"I am pretty excited about this weekend," said Team ML driver Mike Wallace on Wednesday. "James Finch asked me if I would like to drive the Miccosukee Gaming & Resorts Dodge in the ARCA race since we were going down there to run the Nextel Cup event. So, of course I said yes."

Last month it was announced Mike would drive the #15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet in the debut of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Talladega. He has had success in 'inaugural' races, as Wallace recorded a win at the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway. "I am looking forward to driving the #15 Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet in the first Craftsman Truck Series race at Talladega. We are taking the experience I've had on restrictor plate tracks and combining it with the success this team has had to put GEICO and Bad Boy Motors in victory lane."
