Hometown Boy Becoming A Star!

Batesville native, Matt Dame, has landed himself in the top 10 finalists of CMT's "Next Superstar". Joining Matt is four other guys and five girls that will be battling Matt for the overall "Superstar" title. In the latest season of this series, CMT is searching to find America's next great country star and open the door for Singer/Songwriters who feel they have what it takes to be on top of the country music world. The reality show will allow all of America to follow their favorite through each night as they give it their all to remain on the stage for the following week and become the top dog by show's end. Anyone who knows Dame, or atleast has witnessed him live, knows he has everything it takes to waltz right through this competition. He's put in the hard work, and this is his show. He will shine for America as he embraces every aspect of the competition without a flinch.

Before following his dream of country music, Matt was a police officer for seven years, and would just sit around on his off time and perform to friends and roommates. Now, at the age of 37, he's confident that he is being called to lead another life. It's time for Batesville's own Matt Dame to be star! A lot of us grew up with Matt and know that when he puts his mind to something he is passionate about, he doesn't fail.
