Transmission Slipping

Subject: Transmission Slipping

Units affected: 1500G machines built before December 1, 2010

Description: Rain water enters the CVT tube causing the transmission to slip

Solution: Drain CVT housing by removing plug and re-route CVT hoses as shown

On most models, the CVT hoses can be re-routed by merely bending the hose clamp in such an angle that the opening is under the heat shield under the seat.  The hose can be pointed to the side on the driver’s side (pictured below) and straight up and down on the passenger side (so that the opening is under the heat shield- eliminating any chance of rain water reaching the CVT case.
