BBM wins award at 3rd annual NEA Business Today Awards

Bad Boy Mowers wins mid size business of the year at the 3rd Annual Northeast Arkansas Business Today awards show held January 29, 2008 at the Convocations Center on the campus of Arkansas State University.  Nearly 900 business and community leaders were in attendance. Robert Foster and Jamie Jo Barber were present to accept the award.

During his acceptance speech Barber said, “We would like to say thank you and congratulations to all that took part in the Northeast Arkansas Business Today event.  Including the musicians, wait staff, cooks and of course Northeast Arkansas Business Today.  We feel it is a great honor to be in the company of such prestigious businesses.  We would like to take a moment to recognize Mr. Howard House.  Mr. House was instrumental in introducing Robert Foster and Phil Pulley, founders and owners of Bad Boy Mowers, to Dale Cole at First Community Bank of Batesville Arkansas.  Mr. House was very helpful when Robert and Phil were first getting started. We want to thank Dale Cole at First Community Bank of Batesville Arkansas for all the help he has provided. We would also like to thank the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce for their support. “

Barber continued, “I also want to take a moment to thank Robert and Phil for being the leaders they are, and for empowering us (BBM employees) to do the jobs that we need to be doing. I want to thank you for giving us the resources we need to get the job done.  Robert and Phil are always listening to the customers for feedback, and they do all they can to improve our product and organization. I thank God for all he has done.”

During this time the band displayed a sense of humor when they began playing evangelical music.

Barber said, “We are very grateful for the award and accept it for the employees at Bad Boy Mowers.  We would like to stress that there are no insignificant jobs at Bad Boy Mowers, and that we are extremely blessed to be surrounded by such awesome people.”

Foster finished by giving thanks to his wife for her support and by saying, “Our area is greatly represented and the nominees are all winners!”
