Bad Boy Mowers Sponsored Cars Dominate Speedweeks |
| |
Not far, from the shadows of Daytona International Speedway, lies the ½ mile clay oval of Volusia Speedway Park. All eyes, of the dirt racing community were focused here for twelve nights of dirt track racing, during the 38th Alltel DIRTcar Nationals by UNOH. World of Outlaws Sprint cars, World of Outlaws Late Models, Advance Auto Part Super DIRTcar Series, UMP DIRTcar Modifieds, and the Allstar Sprint Series provided the action packed racing.
Bad Boy Mowers is no stranger to the dirt racing world. Jared Landers loaded up his Bad Boy sponsored Shaw by Landers modified and made the long trek from Batesville, AR to Barberville, Florida. He was met there by three of Richard Childress Racing’s drivers. Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, Ryan Gifford, and their three Shaw by Landers race cars, which he prepared. This quartet of drivers would go on to win at least one race, each. Landers had five feature wins, including the $5000 to win, Gator Championship. Austin Dillon, grandson of NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, drove his Bad Boy Mowers sponsored car into victory lane for two feature wins. He ran down and passed NASCAR driver Ken Schrader for his first win. As fate would have it, Dillon was driving a black RCR owned car, sporting the famed number 3 and sponsored by Bad Boy Mowers. It was a very surreal moment for this race fan, at least. Dillon’s younger sibling, Ty, and Gifford each won a heat race. Ty Dillon had victory in sight, in a feature event, only to have Landers power by him on a restart after a caution. On Feb. 9th, Landers won the feature event and was followed across the finish line by Ty Dillon, Austin Dillion, and Ryan Gifford, giving the joint effort of Jared Landers Racing and RCR’s Team Dillon a sweep of the podium. The UMP Modified portion of the 38th Alltel DIRTcar Nationals would be capped off by Austin Dillon’s second win. Bad Boy Mowers would like to congratulate each of these drivers and their teams on their recent success. We’d also like to thank them for representing the Bad Boy brand, with such an outstanding performance.
