Well, I have had this machine (Pup 52 inch cut)for 2+ years and have not had the first problem with it. Just get on it and go. Mine has the Briggs 23 HP Vanguard and before i bought it, i was somewhat concerned if the engine was big enough, but after mowing anything and everything I have thrown at it, the engine is VERY impressive. I can mow as fast as the mower will go, up hills and just barely put a load on it. If you are considering the Briggs, you will not go wrong with it. I just thought I would add an update because I have yet to find a fault with this machine. It will probably be the last mower i will ever have to buy but if I ever had to buy another you bet it would be a Bad Boy. Maybe they should change the name to "Bad Mother"! |

I bought a new Bad Boy ZT series 60" 27 hp Kohler. I've mowed several time with it. It exceeds my expectations. Extremely heavy duty and I like the hinged floor and easy to remove covers for ease of cleaning. My only concern is the fact that the rear tires spin very easily. It seems when the mower is slightly unlevel, one of the back tires will spin (maybe it's my driving). Other than that, I love my mower and I will buy another one if I ever need to. BEST MOWER EVER!! We bought the 60" 27 Horse Kohler Bad Boy from TSC a little over a month ago and boy has it sped up our mowing time. I have not once heard it bog down even through our thickest and highest grass spots. The accessibility of everything on it was very well thought out as well. It leaves a great cut and makes it fun to mow.
The only concern I have is it seems to spin the tires a lot, even on a blacktop driveway. It doesn't even have to be on a big slope, seems to be if it is not perfectly level it spins. I had the tires at the recommended PSI and lowered them a little, but it has not seemed to make a difference.
Are there wheel weights or anything else that could help with this? I have the throttle at 100% and have read other posts commenting on this issue as well. I do not live on marshy land, in fact it is mostly shale with a layer of dirt on top, so very good drainage.
Overall though I am very happy with this mower and glad we chose a Bad Boy. |

Well I got the Bad Boy Pup with a 52 inch deck and the 30hp Kohler Command Pro June 9th 2009. One fine looking mower!!! I can't say too much for the Bad Boy Co. in their well place open design for ease of maintenance. Everything is wide open and easy to get to. The (2) 7 gal. gas tanks even swing out for better access. The floor board is hinged for lifting to access the top of the deck. The first thing looking at the Pup is this mower is built like a tank. The deck is a 1/4 inch all steel welded deck. The front forks of the caster wheels are 1/2 steel. Once the 30hp Kohler cranks up, and you get on the way, and engage the blades, one finds out this mower is very powerful. It's not a toy by and means. The seat is very comfortable with arm rest, and back and forth adjustments. The controls for the mower are on the right side, and are easy to see and get to. With the key off there is an hour meter that turns into tachometer once the motor is started. The hand break is a lever on the left side. The Dual Lever Steering, Independent Control need to be open in a neutral position with the break on to start the motor. The blade clutch is magnetic with a push pull button. Very easy to see and get to. The Lift and Height Adjustment is an Instant Lift Electronic Actuator motor that works very good. Once we got the steering under control being my wife and I have never driven a ztr before, it was smooth and easy to control. Our grass was very high. We haven't had time to cut much this year. I've got to say if there was any doubts about if the 30hp Kohler was going to be weak or bog down in this over grown southern Bahia grass, that went away. The Kohler tach read 3,450 rps with the blades engaged, and at worst read 3,350 rpms in the thickest of Bahia grass.
We want to thank Bad Boy for designing and buildingsuch a fine mower. Scott & John at Scott Tractor in Richland, Mississippi, for their help, and low pressure sales. Doug Brasel of Bad Boy for answering all my questions. And you, the other owners of Bad Boy Mowers for posting your thoughts.
I think we are happy with the Bad Boy Pup! |

Bad Boy is correct. This is a work of art. I did research it before I bought it and I'm glad that I purchased it. ZT 6000 27hp and a 60" cut. |

I just bought the ZT6000 27hp 60" cut. I did as others and did my home work before buying it. Excellant machine and I did my front yard in 10min instead of 30+ min. I went and did the neighbors yard for him. it takes him 2hrs and I had it done in under an hour. First time using I'm sure my time will improve. I also own a Simplicity that is now for where the big mower won't fit. Both are great machines but the Bad Boy puts a smile on my face when I mow now. |

I purchased my ZT2700 Bad Boy with 60" deck on March 30, 2009 from Bryant Equipment Co. in Clarksville, TN. Prior to purchasing, I did my homework and decided that the Bad Boy was the best choice for me. I am mowing approximately 2 1/2 acres and have cut my mowing time in half. I actually look forward to mowing now. Thanks Bad Boy for making such a dependable, quality product. |

I bought a 52" Pup with a 30 horse Kohler because I needed something tough to mow around the edge of the woods and fence rows on my 50+ acres. This Bad Boy is a zero turn brush hog. Tougher than the backend of a shooting gallery. H.Wesson LaRue TX |

Just bought my new zt60 with the 27 hp engine and it is one tough machine. Tractor Supply in York, SC will hook you up and stand by everything it sells.
I wish that I would have bought one earlier. |
