Jones took the average lead after scoring 87.75 points on Cooper Tires Grey Ghost (Dakota Rodeo/Berger/Struve/Schott) in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round, but was passed on the very next ride by Marchi, who had more points in the event average and scored 87.75 points on Carrillo Cartel (4C's/Sills/TLW Bucking Bulls). Meier, who was the leader after Round 2 and Round 3, then clinched the win with his ride.

Top-ranked Valdiron de Oliveira did not compete in Billings after being stepped on following a second-place ride in Round 3 at Uncasville, Conn., last week. He will eventually undergo surgery to repair a fracture of his eye socket.
Oliveira's absence allowed second-ranked Alves to move to within 497.75 points of the top spot in the season rankings, while third-ranked L.J. Jenkins, who finished seventh in the average, is only 670.75 points behind. Marchi moved up to fourth place, trailing by 866.25 points, and J.B. Mauneyis fifth, 1,048 points back.
Mauney competed for the second week in a row riding with his right hand down, after breaking a bone in his customary left riding hand four weeks ago at Kansas City, Mo. Mauney rode two of four bulls in Billings, including a second-place trip in the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle on Friday, and is now 2-for-8 since making the switch.
Buckey, Chocolate Thunder (Bird Bucking Bulls), and Smackdown's Tire Rama shared the Pabst Blue Ribbon Bull Award as high-marked bulls of the event, with each scoring 44.75 points out of a possible 50. As part of a special promotion from the title sponsor, two-time PBR Stock Contractor of the Year Jeff Robinson won $2,500 in Stanley® FatMax® tools after the bullStanley FatMax bucked off Billy Robinson in the championship round.
