Happy Veterans Day!
Thank you to all of those who have served and are currently serving our country.
World War I, also known at the time as “The Great War”, officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919, in the Palace of Versailles outside the town of Versailles, France. However, fighting ceased seven months earlier when an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.”
Although originating from back in World War I, today "Veterans Day" holds an importance that proves just as strong, if not more so. We still have brave men and women fighting wars to protect our country. We still have loved ones, family, friends, etc... giving their lives to see that ours are safe. Lots of work places will take the day off in their own way to remember Veterans Day, but let's make sure that the true focus is in giving proper respect for those that have given their lives for this country and also for the ones that are laying it all on the line for it today.
Whether you are at work or off, please make sure you take a minute to offer your thanks and your prayers for those that spend so much time away from their own families and loved ones in order to do the job they chose... a job of keeping all of us safe. I guarantee you our men and woman of the United States Military won't be taking this Friday, Veterans Day, off from their jobs, so keep them all in your prayers. Bad Boy Mowers holds the highest respect and appreciation for our Military. We hope this Veterans Day is a safe one for you all, and you will all be in our hearts.
